All staff and parents are
considered members of the School Association,
indeed, without your support there would be no
Association.
We have two main goals;
1. To socialise with staff and other parents and
generally have a good time.
2. To raise money to pay for those extra items that
the over stretched school budget doesn’t cover.
A committee of dedicated members organises all the
events throughout the year and they are always
looking for more people to help. Some events need
more than the normal team and at these times you
will find desperate looking mums and dads searching
the playground for the names of those who will be
willing to help – the May and Winter Fayres are two
such times.
Other events just require you to turn up and have a
really good time – easy enough to achieve.
The Association runs the discos for the children at
Christmas and end of terms, organises theatre trips,
shopping trips, film nights, weekend trips………….the
list is as long as the ideas put forward.
Some of the many items that the school has benefited
from are; televisions, computers, plants, kits for
school teams, wet play toys and games, and many,
many more.
Please come along to any event or approach any
committee member to give us your ideas or to get
involved. New people are never turned away. |
